What I do

Application Security Consulting

Sometimes the question you need answered is "are we building this the right way?" I work alongside your team to look at how your application is designed, how it's built and shipped, and where security belongs in that flow. Then I give you a practical path forward that fits the team and the pipeline you actually have.

Ways I can help

It's the same engineering background as my testing work, applied earlier. A few examples of what that looks like:

Architecture and threat modeling review

2 to 3 days

I spend two or three days going deep on your application's architecture, technology stack, services, and integrations, and map out where the real threat vectors are.

Good for Ahead of a SOC 2 Type 2 or PCI DSS audit, or before a new application goes to production.

Pipeline review

We walk through your CI/CD pipeline together, and I find the right touch points for security assessment: software composition analysis, static analysis, and dynamic testing. My recommendations are tuned to how your team actually ships.

Good for When you're adding security checks to your pipeline, or aren't sure the ones you have are in the right places.

Secure code review

I review your code for security flaws. It's human-led with AI in the loop, which works the same whether your team wrote the code or a model did.

Good for When a customer or a compliance requirement asks for one.

Building an application security program

Whether you're starting from nothing or have pieces in place that don't add up to a program yet, I'll help you shape one that fits your organization.

Good for When you need a program, or the one you have needs to grow up.

Could be one of these, could be several. Tell me what's driving it and I'll scope to exactly that.

Ongoing

Fractional application security engineering

Some teams need application security expertise on hand regularly, without adding headcount. I take on a small number of ongoing advisory arrangements: design reviews as features get built, pipeline questions as they come up, and a second set of eyes on AI work before it ships.

If that sounds like what your team is missing, let's talk about what would fit.
